HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — Leaders in Barbecue are deciding when to serve up an election put on ice during last week's winter storm.
The Harnett township of Barbecue went ahead with a referendum on alcohol sales on Jan. 27, but after four hours, officials cancelled the referendum because the weather conditions caused problems on the road.
The County Board of Elections wants to re-schedule the vote for March 2. It will ask for state approval next week.
