Warren County Establishes Animal Control Department

WARREN COUNTY, N.C. — Pet owners are on a shorter leash in Warren County.

Commissioners recently passed a new ordinance that establishes an animal control department.

The new department will investigate cruelty claims, run an animal shelter and regulate loose pets that are deemed a nuisance.

The county has been working on the new animal laws for years.
