print friendly

Four people were transported to a hospital after a driver lost control of her vehicle and drove it through the front entrance of First Choice Family Health Care.

The accident happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 4100 block of Wake Forest Road. None of the injuries was considered life-threatening.

According to the police, Joanne Austin was trying to park her car in front of the building when the car went five feet into the building at approximately 2 miles per hour. Austin had two passengers -- identified as Gary Williams and Gary Williams Jr.

A woman named Lorrin Lockwood was inside the clinic at the time. She got hurt when the car hit a table, which then hit Lockwood. Lockwood was transported to WakeMed.

Another woman inside the clinic, Sarah Nicole Jacobs, was not hurt but complained of dust and dirt in her eyes.
