print friendly

Deputies in Wilson are looking for a group of men involved in an armed robbery Sunday night.

Officials said Elvia Estrada Torres returned home after closing her store on Ward Boulevard around 10 p.m. when she was robbed at gunpoint.

Authorities said as she got out of her vehicle, five or six Hispanic males ran out of a wooded area and took her car keys. Police said the armed subjects forced her inside her home and demanded money bags.

Torres, her mother, 13-year old son, and infant children were tied up, but were not injured.

The subjects took an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry.

Anyone with information about this incident, please call the Wilson County Sheriff's Office at (252) 237-2118.
