RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh city leaders will consider a final redesign plan for the
Fayetteville Street Mall
next week.
Council members voted 5-1 in favor of the
Civic A
plan at a special meeting held Thursday afternoon.
The plan calls for opening the downtown pedestrian mall to traffic. Leaders hope the changes will bring more people downtown.
The final design must be officially considered at Tuesday's council meeting.
