DURHAM, N.C. — More North Carolina National Guard units are being deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Family and friends said farewell Monday to Guardsmen in Durham as they headed out for their tour of duty.
The 30th Brigade Combat Team of the U.S. Army is heading to a training center in Louisiana, where they will receive intense urban warfare training that that mimics what is happening in Iraq.
