Durham Police May Have To Wait On Pay Raises

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — It could be awhile before Durham police get the pay raises they were expecting.

The City Council decided Thursday to send their proposed increase back to its personnel committee.

Back in December, officers rallied, complaining that the 2-percent raise was not enough.

Council members are expected to vote on employee raises on Jan. 20.
