HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — A man who kidnapped and repeatedly raped a UNC student will be behind bars for a long time.
Billy Lunsford was sentenced to at least 38 years in prison. The 32-year-old man pleaded guilty to over a dozen charges.
Back in July, Lunsford kidnapped a 21-year-old woman from the parking lot of Mill Creek Apartments on Airport Road. He then drove her to several locations and raped her multiple times.
