WILSON, N.C. — Wilson investigators on Tuesday arrested James Gibson, 74, of Boyette Drive in Wilson, on three counts of first-degree sex offense, three counts of indecent liberties with a child and three counts of sex offense by a person in a parental role.
Gibson was placed in the Wilson County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Friday.
The arrest followed an investigation into claims that Gibson sexually assaulted a 7-year-old girl.
