APEX, N.C. — An Apex police officer is being sued by a 17-year-old teenage girl who claims he sexually assaulted her. Three of his fellow officers are also accused of hindering the investigation.
The teen claims the officer assaulted her on June 4 after driving her home from a house party.
The accuser's father said he tried to report the assault, but he said officers refused to investigate.
The State Bureau of Investigation is also looking into the matter.
