LILLINGTON, N.C. — A Raleigh man is accused of trying to cover up a church embezzlement scheme.
Lillington authorities recently arrested James Peterkin.
Investigators said he helped cover up financial misdeeds involving $10,000 taken from Green's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Peterkin is in custody in the Harnett County Jail under $20,000 bond.
