RALEIGH, N.C. — Criticism of the Catholic Church may have cost the editor of a local religious publication his job.
The Diocese of Raleigh fired John Strange as the editor of the
N.C. Catholic
shortly before Christmas.
Bishop Joseph Gossman would not give any details, but the firing came shortly after Strange published an article including comments critical of the church.
Strange served as editor of the
N.C. Catholic
for more than a decade.
