CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — One man is dead after an early morning wreck in Cumberland County Monday.
The wreck happened around 3:45 a.m. on Cliffdale Road just past Raleigh Road.
Highway Patrol troopers said a Mercedes driven by Frederick Rush, of Fayetteville, crossed the center line, hitting a Crown Victoria driven by Darryel Best. Best was killed.
Rush was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
