Jason Matthew Bradford was reported missing on Dec. 29 by his family members. Authorities received a call Wednesday that Bradford had been seen walking along a roadway in Wayne County. When officers went to Bradford's residence, they found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Bradford was the son of Peggy Brock, who was found shot to death in her home on Nov. 10. Her husband, Merle Brock, survived the shooting.
The medical examiner's office and the State Bureau of Investigation is assisting the sheriff's office in the investigation.
Officials would not comment on whether the crimes are related and they are not drawing any conclusions at this time.
