Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Another Avery County High School student has admitted to assaulting boys at a Raleigh basketball camp last summer.

Sixteen-year-old Jordan Calhoun is one of five upperclassmen charged in the hazing incident that occurred at North Carolina State University coach Herb Sendek's camp.

Earlier this month, 17-year-old Tyler Boone also pleaded guilty.

Investigators have said Boone and four others held the victims and sodomized them with an object during the camp.

The victims and the suspects were members of the Avery County basketball team. The suspects said the incident was part of a team initiation.

Two other juveniles admitted to simple assault. All the suspects have been sentenced to supervised probation.
