Fourth Suspect Arrested In Connection With Nov. 16 Raleigh Homicide

RALEIGH, N.C. — According to the Raleigh Police Department, Clay Hines, 34, was arrested in Greensboro over the weekend and charged with murder in connection with the death of Detony McCrae Snipes.

Snipes was shot to death Nov. 16 outside an apartment complex on Centennial Ridge Way.

Hines was taken into custody without incident by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force of Raleigh, members of the U.S. Marshals Service Joint TaskForce of Greensboro, and members of the Raleigh Police Department's Detective Division. The Raleigh Police Department's Major Crimes Task Force investigated theSnipes homicide.

After being arrested, Hines was transported to Raleigh and taken to the Wake County Jail.

Three other suspects already had been arrested in connection to the homicide.

Snipes' body was found in a parking lot next to Centennial Ridge Way. Police said he was shot twice in the chest.
