DURHAM, N.C. — A 17-year-old teenager is in the hospital after being shot in the head.
Authorities say the shooting happened Thursday evening near the intersection of Colfax and Simmons streets in Durham.
The teenager, whose name has not been released yet, was taken to Duke University Medical Center. He is listed is serious condition.
No charges had been filed in the case by midday Friday, but investigators are following several leads.
No motive for the shooting has been determined, but investigators are trying to determine if it may have beengang-related.
