Durham Police Investigate Bank Robbery

DURHAM, N.C. — A masked man armed with a gun robbed the Central Carolina Bank at 2714 ErwinRoad Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the man entered the bank around 4:15 p.m. and placed a black bag and a gunon the counter in front of a teller. The man fled with an undisclosed amountof money.

The man is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s, 5feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 to 180 pounds. He had piercingblue or green eyes and a pale complexion. He was wearing a black mask, ablue hooded jacket, dark pants and black sneakers with a white stripe.

CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,200 andthe North Carolina Bankers' Association is offering a reward of up to $5,000for information leading to an arrest.
