Cumberland Students May Soon Return To School After Mold Problems

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Some elementary students may be back in their own school soon.
Right before Thanksgiving, school officials closed Stedman Elementary School in Cumberland County after finding mold in the principal's office.
Officials say follow-up tests show traces of mold in the media center and outside the front door of the school, but not in any classrooms. They still plan to clean the entire building.
Officials say the goal is to move students back in after the holiday break.
