Child Killed, Three Injured In Multi-Vehicle Accident In Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. — A child is dead and several other people are in the hospital after a three-vehicle accident in Raleigh on Thursday.

Troopers say around 8 a.m. Thursday, Teresa Edwards was driving her vehicle when she turned off Capital Boulevard onto Thornton Road and into the path of an sports utility vehicle driven by Lakevius Andre McKnight. A green pick-up truck that was behind the SUV was also involved in the accident.

Edwards' 9-year-old daughter, Megan, who was in the passenger seat, was killed in the accident. Edwards' 5-year-old son, Cole, was in the back seat and was treated and released from WakeMed. Teresa Edwards is listed in fair condition at WakeMed.

McKnight and Quincy Burrell, the driver of the pick-up truck, were both treated and relased from the hospital.
