Autopsy Results: Sampson Burn Victims Were Beaten To Death

SAMPSON COUNTY, N.C. — Investigators now know how three people, whose bodies were found burned in a vacant lot over the weekend, died in Sampson County.

According to autopsy results, Carrie Jones, Jimmy Turner and Randolph Carr were beaten to death. Officials say each victim suffered severe head trauma.

Investigators suspect more than one person is responsible for the attack. They are trying to figure out who did it and a possible motive.
