Kinston Burn Victim To Return For Chapel Hill For 'Celebration'

Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A burn victim who spent eight months at UNC Hospitals is going back to Chapel Hill, but not for treatment.

Jim Edwards was severely burned in a plant explosion in Kinston last January. He finally got to go home in September.

On Saturday, Edwards and other burn survivors will return to the Jaycee Burn Center for the 12th annual "Celebration of Life."

Survivors will share their stories of struggle and triumph. The event will be held at the Friday Center, starting at 9:30 a.m.
