Obama campaign in NC to organize college students

Posted February 21, 2012

— President Barack Obama's re-election campaign reached out to college students in North Carolina Tuesday.

Obama campaign manager Jim Messina, Democratic strategist Valerie Jarrett, North Carolina Congressman G.K. Butterfield and actress Gabrielle Union visited North Carolina Central University in Durham.

The event launched the Obama campaign's outreach to Historically Black College and University campuses across the country. The campaign is trying to engage college students on issues that matter to them, and organize them to work for Obama this fall.

The campaign's campus tour kicked off last weekend in Ohio and is headed for battleground states including Nevada, Virginia, Florida, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Colorado.

Republican National Convention spokesman Matt Connelly said that Obama is trying to "pull the wool over the eyes of North Carolinians."

"The fact remains that President Obama hasn't delivered the jobs he promised or the college affordability he promised to students," Connelly said. "There is no amount of new campaign slogans or campaign events that can erase the president's failed record on the economy."

As stated "The event launched the Obama campaign's outreach to Historically Black College and University campuses across the country." Why just these campuses?

An indocrinated student, who is expected not to question or critically examine the doctrine they have taught by liberal college professors, is a Democrat's best friend.

However, an educated, inquisitive student is the Democrat's worst enemy.

Because, if you want to outrage a Republican, lie to him. If you want to outrage a Democrat, tell him the truth

I thank this sums up the current administration. it was sent to me by a friend and the author is unknown but my hat goes off to him:
“ineptocracy.” This is a made-up word. It is defined as, “a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society who are the least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services that are paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.”
It would be a challenge to do a neater job of summing up the Obama administration in 50 words or less

    >>"Dems want Americans to vote for higher entitlements or for self gratification'

Sorry buddy, but it is a verifiable fact that the populations of the most "conservative" leaning states receive a significantly larger share of their income in the form of Gov't transfers than blue states. Even you are likely subsidized by the taxes I pay.

    >>"Any chance those political values are missing in the college environment?"

"Conservatism" in it's current form is based on authoritarian submission. There is a mountain of empirical evidence supporting this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-wing_authoritarianism), and I am certainly glad they do not encourage that in an academic setting and instead encourage rational, independent thought. Lenin was just as much a right-wing authoritarian as US "conservative" leaders are today.

The only people who believe college students are "brainwashed", are under-educated parrots who need their opinions spoon fed to them through hate radio.

Lenin: "Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted".... doubt you hear that on so-called "hate" radio... or the fact that less than 5% of all college professors consider themselves "conservative" or even Republican. Any chance those political values are missing in the college environment? Hummmm.

why else would anyone making between $40k-$250k vote for a democrat? it is suicide in that range. Dems want Americans to vote for higher entitlements or for self gratification. Conservatives (not all republicans) want you to vote for opportunity to better yourself.

It's okay, they can't spell "Rhode" Island but they can spell "OBAMA" in the voting booth.

So why isn't this hidden in strange news with the other Obama story?
