Police Say Speed Plays Role In Fayetteville Wreck

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police in Fayetteville said speed was a factor in a wreck that sent four teenagers to a hospital Monday night.

Officers said the driver lost control, hit a curb, ran into a speed limit sign and rolled over at Cliffdale Road and Water's Edge Drive.

Police said Timothy Hession was driving 95 mph in a 45 mph zone when he lost control of the car. Hession is listed in critical condition at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Three passengers were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
