SANFORD, N.C. — The man accused of shooting and killing a customer at a Sanford tire store last week has a history of violence.
In 1992, Lennon Scott was convicted of second-degree rape. He was later found guilty for assault with a deadly weapon and attempted voluntary manslaughter.
Scott is now charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Tuesday shooting Reggie McIntyre at Perry Brothers Tire Service. He has been on parole since 1996.
