Raleigh Begins Leaf Collection

RALEIGH, N.C. — The City of Raleigh's

leaf collection program

is under way.

Collection started Monday at Lassiter Mill and Six Forks roads.

Crews will work clockwise around the city, expecting to make one pass before Christmas and a second sweep after the holidays.

City residents will receive an automated phone message alerting them to when crews will be in their neighborhoods.

The city also has a leaf collection hotline. Daily updates are available by calling 890-3720.
