SANFORD, N.C. — A tire shop in Lee County was the site of a deadly shooting Thursday.
Police in Sanford say Lennon Scott walked into Perry Brother's Tire Service on East Main Street and shot Reggie McIntyre. McIntyre was sitting in the waiting area at the time.
Several people witnessed the attack, but no one else was hurt.
"It puts a rush in your heart that you have never had before," witness Chap Perry said.
Police say Scott and McIntyre knew each other. Scott is being charged with first-degree murder.
McIntyre was 27 years old and the brother of a Lee County jailer.
