Man Wanted For Questioning In Deadly Cumberland Shooting

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities are trying to track down leads in a deadly shooting Saturday morning.

Fernando Rivera, 43, was found with multiple gunshot wounds at his apartment on North Bragg Boulevard. He later died at a hospital.

Deputies said Antonio Fernandez Cruz, 36, is wanted for questioning, but is not considered a suspect.

Cruz is a Hispanic man, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 245 pounds with multiple tattoos on his back and arms. He also uses the alias names of Pedro Aguirre Ruiz, Pedro Ruiz Aguirre and Pedro Cruz Aguirre, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Cruz was last seen driving a small red or burgundy pickup truck and may be in the company of another Hispanic man known only as Modesto.
