Chapel Hill Prepares For Annual Halloween Bash

Posted Updated

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill is working to make the annual Halloween bash on Franklin Street less of a fright.

Town officials spent Friday afternoon preparing for the big party by cleaning off the streets.

One of the big complaints every year is the traffic. This year, bus service will be offered from the park-and-ride lots at the Friday Center, Jones Ferry Road, Southern Village and University Mall.

Buses will start rolling at 9 p.m. The cost is $3 one-way and $5 round-trip.

Officials say more than 75,000 revelers are expected for the festivities.
