JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — The state is taking another look at a railroad crossing where a truck driver was injured Friday.
Officers said Mike Howell drove a truck into the path of a train near the Wayne-Johnston County line.
Howell survived th ecollision and is listed good condition at Duke Medical Center.
Howell's son said the accident would never have happened if the railroad crossing was better marked. The crossing was marked only with a sign.
