1 Arrested, 1 Sought In Cumberland Jewelry Store Robbery

STEDMAN, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in the armed robbery of a jewelry store Monday afternoon; however the gunman remains on the run.

Investigators are charging Leforice Anthony Blue with accessory after the fact in the robbery.

The robbery was reported at 3:10 p.m. Monday at Parker's Jewelry Store on Clinton Road. The owner, 55-year-old Harry Truman Parker, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital with a gunshot wound.He is listed in good condition.

A customer was in the store during the robbery but was not injured.

Investigators said the gunman fled into the woods behind the store. They set up a perimeter and a Highway Patrol helicopter assisted in Monday's search.

The gunman is described as black, in his 40's, 6 feet tall, between 180 and 200 pounds, with gray facial hair. He was wearing a green Army field jacket.
