DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police officer Stanley Harris was arrested Sunday and charged withassault on a female. He was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
The Durham Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit and ProfessionalStandards Division are investigating the case, which is standard procedure.
Harris, who has the rank of master officer, joined the Durham PoliceDepartment on Aug. 29, 1983, and is assigned to the Uniform PatrolDivision. He has been placed on administrative duty with pay.
