Two Workers Injured In Motel Floor Collapse In Buxton

BUXTON, N.C. — Emergency crews worked to free two workers Friday after a motel floor collapsed on them in Buxton.
Both men were trapped underneath the Cape Hatteras Motel when part of the floor caved in on top of them.
The motel had been damaged by Hurricane Isabel, and both men were working under the floor clearing off sand.
Crews were able to free both of the men, one of whom required CPR.
There is no word on the workers' identities or their conditions.
