Robert Petrick could find out this week if he will face the death penalty.

Petrick is accused of killing his wife, Janine Sutphen. The Durham symphony cellist disappeared in January.

A pair of fishermen found her body floating in Falls Lake in May. Sutphen was wrapped in a tarp and tied up in chains.

Prosecutors are expected to announce their decision Thursday. Lawyers are also considering the possiblity of a plea agreement.
