FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier is in critical condition after being shot in an apparent holdup early Sunday morning.
According to Fayetteville police, Brian Calangi and a friend were taking money out of an ATM on Bragg Boulevard just after midnight when two men approached them. One suspect had a gun, police said.
Calangi was shot in the chest. He is being treated Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Police said the suspects took off in a four-door grey or silver vehicle.
