Johnston Authorities Believe Two Drivers At Fault For Deadly Accident

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — After reconstructing a fatal crash in Johnston County last week, the state Highway Patrol says it appears two drivers were at fault by running red lights.
The wreck happened in the eastbound direction of Highway 70 when a tractor-trailer truck and car were involved in an accident.
Edward Everett of Grimesland, N.C., was injured and his wife, Susie Everett, died in the accident.
Even though authorities believe both drivers were at fault, Gerald Goodridge of Pikeville, the driver of the tractor-trailer, is charged with death by vehicle.
