More Charges Filed Against Cracker Barrel Robbery Suspect

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police filed additional charges Thursday against a man who was arrested Wednesday in connection with a series of armed robberies of Cracker Barrel restaurants.

On Thursday, Durham police charged Victor Michael Grier, 42, of 1200 Discovery Way, Apt. 1226, with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, four counts of second-degree kidnapping, possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Grier was arrested Wednesday night in Burlington.

The Durham warrants were served on Grier at the Alamance County Jail, where he was being held under a $250,000 bond on charges filed by Burlington police. Grier was given an additional $250,000 bond on the Durham charges.

Grier, a former employee of a Cracker Barrel restaurant in Morrisville, is charged with robbing the Cracker Barrel restaurant on Hillsborough Road in Durham Aug. 11 and Sept. 25.

Further charges are pending against Grier for robberies in Smithfield and Henderson.
