Peterson Trial Resumes After Unexpected Storm Break

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Mike Peterson's murder trial gets back on track Monday.

Lawyers and jurors had a short week last week due to Hurricane Isabel. The week ended with a biomechanics expert explaining how he thought the speed and the force of Kathleen Peterson's fall could have caused severe head injuries.

Dr. Faris Bandak told jurors he used her height and weight along with the measurements inside the stairwell to determine what happened.
