Former Fayetteville Officer Faces Federal Charges

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A former Fayetteville police officer is facing federal charges.
Christopher Young is accused of violating the civil rights of five women. In 2000, a Cumberland County jury found Young not guilty of raping women while on duty. He claimed the sex was consensual.
Jury selection in the trial should begin Sept. 22.
