Five More Red-Light Cameras Activated In Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh began operating red-light cameras at five additional intersections in the city Monday.

The cameras are located at Wilmington and Morgan streets, Dawson and Morgan streets, Rock Quarry Road at Cross Link and Proctor roads, Capital Boulevard and Highwoods Boulevard, and Hillsborough Street at Dixie Trail and Friendly Drive.

Citations will be issued to motorists who are photographed running red lights at the intersections. The fine is $50.

The city also has red-light cameras at the intersections of Dawson and South streets and at Six Forks Road and Rowan Street.

Six more cameras are expected by the end of the year.
