SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. — Police in Southern Pines are looking for an attacker who they said could strike again.
Police said a man tried to rape a 17-year-old jogger Wednesday afternoon at the Reservoir Park near Sandhills Community College.
Two other people in the park heard the victim scream and came to her rescue.
Police said the man got away.
