Wilson County Courthouse Adds Extra Security Measures

Posted Updated

WILSON, N.C. — People going into Wilson County's Courthouse will see extra security because of a threat.

Commissioners approved new security measures for the next four months, which includes an X-ray machine, videos, panic bars on doors and more deputies at the courthouse.

The county will not comment on the nature of the threat.

The cost for the extra security will be absorbed by the budget or come from reserve funds.
