Durham Police Investigate Bank Robbery

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Monday morning at RBC Centura at 500 West Morgan Street in downtown Durham.

Police said a man entered the bank shortly after 10 a.m., approached a teller and demanded money. No weapon was displayed. The man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 140 to 150 pounds. He had a small build and a medium brown complexion. He was wearing a white windbreaker and dark pants.

The North Carolina Bankers' Association is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases.
