Trial Begins In Case Of Man Suspected In Three Wayne County Deaths

WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — A man arrested 11 years after the fact for killing three people in Wayne County is now on trial.
Linwood Earl Forte was arrested in 2001 after DNA evidence linked him to the unsolved deaths.
If convicted of any of the murders, Forte could get the death penalty.
The state collected a DNA sample from Forte in 1996 after he was convicted of firing a gun into a home.
