<b>WAKE COUNTY, N.C.</b> — A court appearance for a teacher accused of sexually assaulting a student has been continued.

On Wednesday, a district court judge ordered the case against Christopher Journigan continued until Oct. 14.

Journigan faces eight charges of first-degree statuatory sexual offense.

The alleged victim is a 12-year-old boy who was Journigan's student at Zebulon Elementary School.
