HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — Three men are dead and one woman was injured following a two-vehicle wreck south of Lillington Tuesday afternoon.

The Highway Patrol said the wreck happened at 12:53 p.m. on Highway 210. The head-on collision involved a white Acura and a gold Honda Accord.

One person in the Acura was killed. Authorities have not released that person's name, but they said he is from Raleigh. The driver of the Accord, 89-year-old William McGregor, was killed. McGregor's passenger, William Standley, was also killed in the accident.

Eular McGregor, 91, who was a passenger in the Accord, was upgraded Wednesday to serious condition at Cape Fear Medical Center.

Neighbors in the area say the road is usually busy with drivers going at high rates of speed. Authorities said they do not plan to file charges in the accident.
