VASS, N.C. — Moore County authorities are investigating at fatal traffic accident that occurred early Monday.
According to reports, the accident hppened around 2:26 a.m. 11 miles east of Vass on N.C. 690. A two-door Acura was traveling at a high rate of speed, ran off the road of the right side, then the left, then struck a tree.
The passenger, Joshua Salazar, was ejected. The vehicle was cut in half due to the collision. The driver, Sean Roberts, was flown by helicopter to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5 a.m.
