Fayetteville Considering New Drainage Options

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville City Council is dealing with drainage problems that are flooding the city.

Currently, the city and Cumberland County are a joint utility service.

Monday night, the City Council decided to look at several options for coping with chronic drainage problems.

The first would have the county adopt stricter regulations. The other option would separate the city and the county's drainage systems.

The town manager will consider both choices.
