FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. — A raceway owner in Franklin County said he will not hold mudsling races for awhile after a deadly accident at an event last weekend.
Candace Brown died when a jeep plowed into a crowd of spectators at Five County Raceway.
Eighteen others were hurt, including Brown's 2-year-old daughter.
A mechanic, who inspected the jeep Thursday, said it appears the throttle stuck and the driver was unable to stop.
