NCSU Student Gets Tough Lesson In Politics

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 20-year old North Carolina State student went to court Thursday to win the right to enter the race for City Council.

Legally, Zack Medford is too young to enter the race.

He is 20. Candidates have to be 21 to run, even though Medford would be 21 at the time he took office.

But he is already getting a tough lesson in the world of politics. He has come under fire for running a sexually explicit Web site.

Medford changed the Web site a few weeks before he filed for the race. The Web site is now focused on his campaign.
